Capri is a beautiful island full of magic in the Gulf of Naples, together with Ischia and Procida they are the three wonderful gems that adorn the city of Naples. This island could be an unusual and fascinating destination for your Christmas Holidays or New Year Holidays. The most important towns of Capri, are Capri and Anacapri. They are delightful and charming towns full of beautiful monuments.
The village of Capri is very picturesque, particularly its old town centre. The typical little square of Capri, attracts all the tourists and even celebrities who love glamorous and elegant holidays. From this square you can admire a beautiful landscape. From the historical and cultural point of view Villa Jovis, the ancient imperial villa dating back to the ancient Romans, is worth a visit.
Anacapri is also a treasure of great architectural and landscape beauties; here you can visit the majestic Church of St. Michael and the beautiful Villa San Michele, the latter belonged to a Swedish doctor in love with Capri and its history, so much to collect really interesting finds. Close to this beautiful Villa there is a wonderful wildlife reserve, which offers breathtaking views of the magnificent sea of Capri and on the surrounding landscape.
The sea of Capri, is certainly one of the main attractions of the island. The beauty of the sea that kisses these shores, fully justifies the big number of tourists visiting this land every year. All of the coasts of Capri are incredibly beautiful; you can admire incredible bays and majestic cliffs that plunge into the sea, and stunning sea caves where light penetrates through the rocks and plays with them creating fantastic and beautiful colours. One of the symbols of the island are the spectacular stacks of Capri, which rise from the poetical blue sea. To reach Capri town centre, if you want, you can also use a striking funicular that will allow you to discover other fabulous views of the island.
